My Own Darling,

I wrote an ordinary letter to you last night but I thought that it would lessen the gap between letters if I wrote this Airgraph too.

Yes, it certainly makes me wish we had been able to go to the Nursing Association dance which you mention in your air letter.  So your parents went, too, did they.  They are getting to be quite night-rakes, aren’t they?  We have that dance to thank for a great deal of happiness, haven’t we?

I wrote an air letter to Vera yesterday, and got a short airgraph from Mother, which made two letters from England this week.

Am looking forward to receiving your latest photograph.  You can’t slip yourself in the envelope instead, can you?

By the time you receive this I suppose it will be nearing Easter & your holiday time.  Have you decided what you are going to do during your three weeks?  What about coming out here for a fortnight.  Remember what a grand ten days we had during your last annual leave.  I still haven’t got over that long walk from Lundwood.

No more space now.  All my love, yours, Stan.   xxxx

My Own Darling,

As space is rather small I am afraid that my news will be limited.  How are you keeping, Dear?  I have not received a letter from you for a fortnight, or at least not a recent one.  Your second letter which you wrote on board arrived last week.

Everybody in this corner of the world are keeping well.  All at 56 wish to be remembered to you.  Have you noticed the date?  A lot has happened in the last 14 months.  How much will happen in the next?  To-day is Eric’s birthday, too.  He is 25.  When I go to town to-day I will collect some Air Letter forms and let you have more news.  Until then I am, yours as always, Darling, Grace  xx
